Accessibility
Draft, effective October 7, 2026
We want everyone to be able to make a ridiculous machine. The site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we do
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link.
- Everything works with JavaScript switched off, including making, rerolling, saving, signing in and buying.
- Colours meet AA contrast in both the light and the dark theme, and nothing is shown by colour alone.
- The site works at 320 pixels wide and at 200% zoom without sideways scrolling.
- Every blueprint has a text title and description, and the parts list beside it is a real table, so the drawing is never the only way to get the information.
- The one moving element, a slowly turning gear, stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Sign-in is by an emailed link: there is no password to remember and no puzzle to solve.
- Form errors are written in words, tied to their fields and announced to screen readers.
Known limits
- The blueprint drawings are decorative nonsense by design; their written description lists what they contain, not how they "work".
- The PDF files are made for printing. Their text can be selected and read aloud, but they are not fully tagged documents.
